Holland & Knight’s Fabio Miceli Named “Rising Star” by Airfinance Journal

LONDON (July 24, 2019) – Holland & Knight attorney Fabio Miceli has been selected as a 2019 "Rising Star" by Airfinance Journal. The trade publication identifies "Rising Stars" each year by asking readers around the globe to nominate promising young attorneys whom they feel best serve the aviation industry.

Mr. Miceli, an associate in the firm's London office, advises on a wide variety of general finance, asset and structured transactions, particularly in regard to aircraft acquisition, trading and leasing. These transactions include operating leases, purchase and sale transactions, pre-delivery payment financing, secured aircraft and engine lending transactions, cross-border financings, corporate jet financings, warehouse loan facility financings, new aircraft deliveries and restructurings.

Last year, Mr. Miceli undertook a nine-month secondment with the London and Shannon, Ireland, offices of GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS). In this unique position, he advised on a range of aviation matters including, primarily, sale and novation transactions as well as leasing transactions, acquisitions, general terms agreements with maintenance, repair, overall providers, compliance matters, tax queries and due diligence exercises.

"Fabio possesses a tremendous depth of industry and jurisdictional knowledge that is broadly appreciated by our clients," said William Piels, the leader of Holland & Knight's Aircraft Finance Team. "He is the consummate deal leader, with a great knack for bringing order to multi-party transactions and finding workable solutions for complex issues."

Added Robert Ricketts, London chair of the firm's Aircraft Finance Team, "Fabio is an invaluable member of the team and has tremendous interpersonal skills and an excellent commercial understanding to get the deal done."

Mr. Miceli is the eighth Holland & Knight attorney to be named an Airfinance Journal "Rising Star."
