Former Head of Colombia's National Copyright Directorate Joins Holland & Knight in Bogotá

BOGOTÁ (October 26, 2022) – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce the arrival of Camila Santamaría Balen as senior counsel in the firm's Bogotá office. Ms. Santamaría has more than 18 years of experience in intellectual property matters and served as director of the National Directorate of Copyright in Colombia.

Ms. Santamaría was also previously a senior intellectual property lawyer at the Colombian Coffee Growers' Federation. She has held leadership roles within the Asociación Interamericana de la Propiedad Intelectual (ASIPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA), including serving on INTA's Latin America Global Advisory Council.

Ms. Santamaría earned a business law degree from the Universidad de los Andes and a master's degree in intellectual property and information society from the University of Alicante in Spain.
