Holland & Knight Attorney Lisa M. Kpor Receives Next Gen Emerging Millennial Leader Award From the Corporate Counsel Women of Color
CHICAGO (October 10, 2022) – Holland & Knight attorney Lisa M. Kpor has received the Next Gen Emerging Millennial Leader Award from the Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC), a national organization advocating for diversity, equity and inclusion in the legal profession. Ms. Kpor is a litigation associate who works in the firm's Chicago office.
The Next Gen Emerging Millennial Leader Award, a new award in its second year, recognizes young attorneys of color who possess outstanding legal talent, innovative skills and a strong commitment and dedication to serving their communities. Ms. Kpor was honored at CCWC's 18th Annual Career Strategies Conference in Atlanta on October 7.
Ms. Kpor's practice encompasses a broad range of legal issues, including general commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, products liability actions, entertainment law negotiations and legal ethics matters. Ms. Kpor is involved in community, civic and charitable activities in Illinois and beyond. She serves on the board of directors for the Chicago chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) and on the FBA’s national Committee on Diversity and Inclusion. She also mentors students through the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and The Posse Foundation. Ms. Kpor has frequently been recognized for her pro bono service as well.
Ms. Kpor earned a J.D. degree from the University of Illinois College of Law and a B.A. degree from Oberlin College.
