Ander Javier Aguirre



Ander Javier Aguirre Carrión is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Mexico City office. Mr. Aguirre has more than eight years of litigation experience in international trade and customs law. He has experience with various issues such as customs law, international trade, free trade agreements and World Trade Organization (WTO) agreements.

In addition, Mr. Aguirre has experience advising companies in the participation of antidumping procedures, litigation and obtaining preferential tariff treatment programs such as the Maquiladora, Manufacturing and Export Services Industry (IMMEX) program, among others.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Aguirre worked for an advisory, consultancy and tax litigation law firm in Mexico.

Representative Experience

  • Obtained various authorizations for enhanced import programs such as Maquiladora, Manufacturing and Export Services Industry (IMMEX) and Program of Sectorial Promotion (ProSec), among others
  • Participated in antidumping procedures, including apples originated from the U.S., pencils originated from China and chicken thighs from the U.S.
  • Obtained various favorable results in litigating procedures against the Mexican Tax Administration Service
