Sofia Alcantara

Sofia Alcántara Bedolla is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Mexico City office, and a member of litigation and disputes practice in Mexico. Ms. Alcántara has represented national and international clients in civil, commercial, administrative and constitutional litigation, especially in shareholder, minority rights and contractual disputes. In addition, she has participated in several energy, insolvency and telecommunications disputes.

Ms. Alcántara has extensive knowledge and experience in litigation matters, participating and leading cases before local and federal courts. She is also actively involved in the litigation of local and federal cases.

In addition, Ms. Alcántara actively participates in the resolution of arbitration disputes by handling in diverse commercial arbitration cases. Accordingly, her practice covers the judicial and arbitral forums, representing clients in disputes of all natures derived from her procedural experience.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Alcántara was an attorney for a litigation law firm in Mexico City.

In addition to her formal education, Ms. Alcántara has completed the "Perspective: The Arbitrator" course through the Commercial Mediation and Arbitration Commission of the Mexico City National Chamber of Commerce (CANACO) and earned a diploma in Amparo from the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation.
