Overview

Liz A. Austin is a Denver attorney and a member of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. Ms. Austin handles a variety of corporate litigation and criminal defense matters. Her corporate litigation practice focuses in the areas of energy, natural resources, premises liability and employment law.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Austin worked in the corporate office of a large retail company based in San Francisco. In this role, she helped develop and implement a new hire onboarding program company-wide, met regularly with supervisors from the director level through senior vice presidents in regard to associate development plans, goal setting and workshop department processes, and handled employee-to-supervisor mediation.

Ms. Austin also has experience with corporate litigation and criminal defense matters through her work in private practice and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law Criminal Defense Clinic. Through the clinic, Ms. Austin served indigent clients through both written practice and court appearances.

In the community, Ms. Austin volunteers with high school mock trial competitions and coaching. Ms. Austin is passionate about K-12 education and involvement, stemming from her background as a Teach for America member, where she taught middle school literacy and math in the Mississippi Delta region.
