Gregory Bauer is a financial services attorney in Holland & Knight's Chicago office. Mr. Bauer focuses his practice on commercial lending transactions and routinely represents equity sponsors, borrowers, institutional investors, lenders and mezzanine funds in secured and unsecured lending transactions and debt placements.
Mr. Bauer has structured, negotiated and documented financing transactions of various types, including senior, mezzanine and subordinated debt placements; acquisition facilities; asset-based loans; venture capital financings; sponsor lines of credit; and general working capital facilities. He also has negotiated debtor-in-possession and other bankruptcy-related financings, workouts, restructurings and secured party sale transactions.
In addition, Mr. Bauer regularly advises private equity clients and other borrowers on all aspects of acquisition financing, recapitalizations and portfolio restructuring transactions, including sponsors focused on distressed mergers and acquisitions and turnarounds.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Bauer was an attorney at the Chicago office of an international law firm.
