Raman Bharatula is a patent agent in Holland & Knight's Boston office and a member of the Intellectual Property Group. Mr. Bharatula focuses on patent prosecution matters such as drafting patent applications, responding to office actions and preparing appeal briefs.
Mr. Bharatula handles patent matters involving software, including web and network security, artificial intelligence (AI), image and speech recognition, and mobile applications; as well as hardware such as memory devices and circuit board design and manufacturing. He also has extensive knowledge of patent matters related to wireless telecommunication and networking systems, audio and signal processing systems, laboratory analytical systems and autonomous driving systems. In addition, Mr. Bharatula has significant background in patents related to medical devices such as surgical devices and ultrasound systems.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Bharatula worked as a project engineer for a systems integration company in New Hampshire, where he automated plants that manufacture pharmaceuticals, chemicals and food and beverages. His work included designing and testing electrical control panels, programming logic controllers and programming user interface systems to control system instrumentation.
