Kaitlyn Cawley is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Orlando office, where she represents clients in real estate and corporate transactions. Ms. Cawley has experience in the real estate, finance, healthcare, technology and hospitality and multifamily sectors.
Ms. Cawley's real estate practice includes the representation of developers in connection with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, title, survey and due diligence analysis, development, entitlements and borrower-side financing. Her developer representation includes master developers, single family, multifamily and condominium developers, and retail operators. Ms. Cawley also represents financial institutions in relation to multistate, secured credit facilities; landlords and tenants in connection with complex commercial lease transactions; and condominium developers in connection with condominium structuring, registration and association operational matters.
Ms. Cawley assists businesses and individuals in a variety of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, entity formation, general commercial contracts, corporate financing and corporate governance. She also represents nonprofit entities with respect to tax issues, including obtaining tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Ms. Cawley has experience in representing clients using New Markets Tax Credits (NMTCs) to finance economic development.
She currently serves as the chairperson of Holland & Knight's Orlando office Diversity Committee, and represents the firm as a member of Orlando's Young Professional Advisory Council. Ms. Cawley is also an associate member of Urban Land Institute Central Florida.
