Overview

David Garcia credits the decade he spent before law school managing supply chain logistics for a high-tech manufacturer for the perspective he brings to transactional matters. He approaches mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions from the perspective of a businessperson, and he takes the time to know and understand the clients he represents in order to help them achieve their business and legal objectives efficiently.

A significant focus of Mr. Garcia's practice is in the veterinary industry, assisting clients in a variety of transactional matters including veterinary practice sale transactions, corporate restructuring, negotiation of employment agreements, leasing and other legal issues related to vet practice management. His recent experience includes representing a growing private equity-backed veterinary services organization through a series of practice acquisitions.

In the healthcare industry, Mr. Garcia works alongside clients throughout the U.S. to navigate the often complicated structure of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures and joint ventures. He has substantial experience representing both buyers and sellers in M&A transactions involving physician-owned practices and clinical research trial companies.

Previously, Mr. Garcia gained experience as an associate in the Austin office of Jackson Walker.
