Allen Goodling is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Portland and Houston offices. Mr. Goodling represents public and private clients in a variety of corporate, transactional and finance matters, with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector, oil and gas industry and alcohol beverage industry.

Mr. Goodling has more than 20 years of law firm and in-house experience representing energy industry clients in a broad spectrum of legal affairs and the representation of clients in the wine industry. He has extensive knowledge of renewable energy matters related to development, procurement, construction and acquisition/divestiture of wind, solar, storage and other projects. He also handles the development, exploration and production (E&P) contracts, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and operating agreements for oil and gas matters.

In addition, Mr. Goodling has a significant background in leading all facets of the litigation process, including trials, settlement negotiations and appeals in state and federal courts.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Goodling was an attorney at a national law firm in its Portland office. Previously, he served as corporate counsel with the largest publicly traded mineral and royalty company in the U.S., where he negotiated and drafted a wide range of contracts and agreements, including E&P agreements and transportation and gas-gathering agreements while also assisting with the daily management of the land department. Mr. Goodling also assisted in starting and running an oil and gas exploration company that eventually went public.
