Judy Hargitai is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Jacksonville office and a member of the firm's Private Wealth Services Group. Ms. Hargitai focuses her practice in representing religious, educational and charitable organizations that have been named as beneficiaries in estates and trusts.
Ms. Hargitai's career began at the Office of the Public Defender for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida were she represented a range of accused clients and handled more than 100 jury trials. That experience propelled Ms. Hargitai into private practice at Holland & Knight in 1996. As a commercial litigator, she represented sophisticated clients in complex civil litigation, and supervised and managed teams of associates and paralegals. Ms. Hargitai has decades of experience with alternative dispute resolution, trials and appeals.
In 2013, Ms. Hargitai established her own firm and represented individuals in probate, family and complex litigation matters. She rejoined Holland & Knight in 2021, and will use her experience to advance the interests of charities through the firm's Private Wealth Services Group.
