Overview

Jeff Harvey is a Dallas corporate services and commercial transactions attorney. He focuses his practice on advising and representing public and private companies, private equity firms and investment organizations, family offices and high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Since 2001, Mr. Harvey has worked in various general counsel roles for startup and developed companies across North America and with global operations. Most recently, he was the executive vice president and general counsel for a billion-dollar wholesale and branded products distribution company serving North American retailers and dealers through a global supply chain network. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president, general counsel and chief administration officer to a fleet management software/hardware-as-a-service provider and as vice president and general counsel to an international consumer products direct-sales company. In these and other management roles, Mr. Harvey oversaw legal and compliance, governance and reporting, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), international operations, intellectual property, real estate, franchising/distribution activities, and public, government and investor relations. 

In private practice, Mr. Harvey has counseled and represented companies of all types and sizes, across industries and geographies, concerning U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) compliance, public and private reporting, business transactions, M&A, joint ventures and strategic contracts, securities, corporate and consumer finance, business operations, data management and cybersecurity, intellectual property (IP), real estate, advertising and sales, and distribution and franchising, among other topics. Mr. Harvey is a trusted advisor and planning partner to investors, owners, boards and management, and regularly provides guidance to general counsel and law department leadership concerning legal and compliance operations and best practices.

Mr. Harvey was an adjunct professor of business law and professional responsibility at Utah State University and speaks frequently with general counsel, chief financial officers, chief executive officers and investor groups about current and strategic legal and compliance issues.
