Overview

Troy Hoyt is a trial attorney and partner in Holland & Knight's Chicago office where he practices in the areas of commercial litigation and product liability. Mr. Hoyt has significant experience in both state and federal courts and has broad bench and jury trial experience.

In addition, Mr. Hoyt has successfully first- and second-chaired a number of trials, evidentiary hearings, and domestic and international arbitrations. He has represented clients in complex state and federal litigation matters, including contract and fraud suits, class actions, real estate litigation, securities litigation, fiduciary disputes, mass and toxic tort litigation, replevin actions, and governmental investigations, as well as on appeal.

Mr. Hoyt has significant experience managing large dockets of litigation for clients. He also advises clients in business matters related to litigation and risk management, regulatory compliance and warranty issues.

During law school, Mr. Hoyt served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Morton Denlow, federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Prior to entering law school, he worked as a corporate accountant.
