Erica Gaudet Hughes is a San Francisco attorney and a member of the firm's Private Wealth Services group. Ms. Hughes represents charitable, religious, educational and scientific organizations as part of Holland & Knight's innovative Bequest Revenue Program. By proactively pursuing donor intent, Ms. Hughes assists charities in accelerating distributions and increasing annual revenue.

Ms. Hughes brings to her practice a significant background in nonprofit management. Prior to joining Holland & Knight, she served for 15 years as the Executive Director of the California Animal Welfare Association, a statewide association of humane societies, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCAs), and animal care and control agencies. In this capacity, Ms. Hughes advised members, drafted legislation and advocated for the interests of the association's nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies.

Prior to working as a nonprofit executive, Ms. Hughes was a trust and estate attorney whose practice focused on contentious trust, estate and conservatorship matters.
