Rick Hutchison is a partner in Holland & Knight's West Palm Beach office and serves on the firm's Director's Committee. He also works out of the Fort Lauderdale office. Mr. Hutchison’s practice focuses on contract and business torts litigation. He is experienced in commercial litigation, professional negligence, hotel owner-operator disputes, class actions and fiduciary litigation.
Mr. Hutchison has extensive jury trial experience in state and federal courts, including complex commercial matters. He has experience in arbitrating complex business disputes, including hotel management agreements and corporate ownership disputes. He has litigated cases in the financial services, hospitality, technology and real estate industries. Mr. Hutchison has been teaching trial and deposition skills as a visiting instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) since 1997. Mr. Hutchison served on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Hutchison started his legal career as an assistant state attorney in the Dade County State Attorney’s Office, Miami, Florida, under the Honorable Janet Reno.
