Overview

Anna M. Honig is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Boston office and a member of the firm's Healthcare & Life Sciences Team. She advises clients on a variety of healthcare regulatory and corporate transactional matters and represents clients in healthcare fraud, waste, abuse and compliance matters.

Ms. Honig’s regulatory practice involves advising clients on a wide range of healthcare issues, including fraud, abuse, compliance, reimbursement and licensing matters. Ms. Honig has vast experience counseling a wide range of clients in the healthcare industry, including pharmacy chains, pharmacy benefits managers, pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors, third-party administrators, utilization review organizations and healthcare information technology companies. She provides regulatory guidance and advice on matters concerning compliance with healthcare laws, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), False Claims Act (FCA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), telehealth/telemedicine and the Controlled Substances Act.

In the enforcement context, Ms. Honig has represented clients in civil healthcare cases, with an emphasis on healthcare fraud and abuse matters such as those involving the federal AKS, FCA and the healthcare fraud statute.

In addition, Ms. Honig represents clients in a variety of corporate and healthcare transactions, including licensing matters, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and underwriting representations and warranties insurance (RWI).

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Honig participated in a healthcare fellowship program with Fresenius Medical Care North America's law department.

During law school, Ms. Honig was a senior editor on Boston University School of Law's American Journal of Law and Medicine. Additionally, she participated in the Thurgood Marshall Memorial Moot Court and Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. Ms. Honig also served as a judicial intern for the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court.
