William W. Lane is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Boston office and a member of the firm's Private Wealth Services Group. Mr. Lane focuses his practice on the administration of estates and trusts, as well as planning for high-net-worth clients.
Mr. Lane works closely with individuals planning for their family's future, and those who recently lost a family member to settle and administer their estate. In planning and in settling estates, Mr. Lane focuses on relieving the burden of worry or anxiety that his clients face in regard to taking care of their family in a tax-efficient manner and honoring their loved one's wishes, while implanting their estate plan. This involves preparing wills, trusts, healthcare directives, power of attorney, and related tax and estate plan documents. Mr. Lane also guides his clients through all of these documents as part of the trust and estate administration process, as well as prepares estate and gift tax returns.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Lane worked for firms in and around Boston serving high-net-worth clients.
In law school, Mr. Lane helped found the Human Rights Law Society, and worked as the research assistant and assistant producer of the late Neil Chayet's, "Looking at the Law," a daily radio feature that aired on many CBS radio stations.
