Anthony Lopez is a business attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office and member of the firm's Financial Services practice group. Mr. Lopez concentrates his practice on the representation of domestic and multinational organizations, including banks, broker-dealers, money services businesses and other financial institutions on a broad range of business, licensing, regulatory and compliance matters.
Mr. Lopez advises clients on issues relating to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), anti-money laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and enforcement actions by various federal and state regulatory authorities, including the OFAC, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Florida Office of Financial Regulation.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Lopez was a member of the bank and finance group of a large international law firm where he represented borrowers and lenders in connection with various public and private structured finance transactions, including securitizations and repurchase transactions. He has experience with several different classes of asset-backed financings, including credit card receivables, auto loans and leases, collateralized loan obligation (CLO) transactions, dealer floorplan receivables and residential mortgage loans.
