Blanca Luévano is a senior counsel in Holland & Knight's Mexico City office. Ms. Luévano focuses her practice on Mexican telecommunications, competition and antitrust, as well as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and foreign investment matters. She advises clients on cross-border transactions, financing and security agreements, private equity investments, regulatory matters, applications for telecommunications permits and concession, and procedures before the Mexican Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT) and the Mexican Federal Competition Commission (COFECE). In addition, Ms. Luévano has participated in merger clearance procedures and the implementation of compliance projects relating to anticorruption and antitrust. In recent times, she has been involved in investment arbitration cases mainly related to the telecommunications sector.
Ms. Luévano has also advised European and American companies in mergers and acquisitions and in investment transactions in Luxembourg and Mexico. Ms. Luévano was an attorney at a Luxembourg boutique firm as a member of the M&A, and Banking and Finance teams.
During her master studies, she was an intern with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). In this role, she assisted the Trade, Financial Markets and Corporate Governance committees with drafting summary records, official reports and analysis of working papers.
