Stephanie M. Merabet is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Boston office and a member of the firm's Labor, Employment and Benefits Group and Education Team. Ms. Merabet devotes her practice to representing public and private employers in all aspects of labor and employment law and related litigation.
Ms. Merabet has significant experience defending allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, contract disputes, whistleblower claims, and wage and hour violations. She zealously represents clients in a wide range of industries in state and federal court, and before federal, state and local administrative agencies.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Merabet routinely counsels clients on crisis management and a variety of workplace issues, including personnel and disciplinary matters, employment disputes, internal investigations, reductions in force, terminations, the development and administration of employee policies and handbooks, and compliance with federal, state and local laws.
Ms. Merabet also advises private educational institutions on a broad range of matters, including crisis management, Title IX sex discrimination and sexual assault, tenure disputes, student privacy issues, student conduct, policies and handbooks, and regulatory issues. She helps clients navigate sensitive campus and workplace issues, and conducts independent and internal investigations of misconduct, sexual assault and harassment.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Merabet practiced at a prominent, boutique labor and employment law firm and in the legal department of a nationwide government contractor.
