Cameryn A. Mercurio is a Boston attorney and a member of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. Ms. Mercurio focuses her practice in the areas of general civil litigation, education law, employment law and civil data privacy litigation.
Ms. Mercurio has experience engaging in state and federal litigations involving claims arising from breach of contract, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, product liability, discrimination and harassment, sexual abuse, consumer protection statutes and state privacy statutes. She also has significant experience conducting internal corporate investigations, government investigations and independent investigations related to Title IX and similar discrimination and harassment claims.
In addition, Ms. Mercurio has experience in successfully defending and mediating claims, including successfully arguing a motion to dismiss in the Massachusetts Superior Court and assisting with negotiating resolutions with the Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights. She practices in state and federal court and before federal, state and local administrative agencies.
While in law school, Ms. Mercurio served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Nathaniel M. Gorton of the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Ms. Mercurio also was a participant in the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) fellowship program at Boston Children's Hospital. In addition, Ms. Mercurio worked in the Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey as a legal intern for the Consumer Protection Division.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Mercurio worked in public relations and supervised product marketing and crisis communications.
