Patrick O'Bryant is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Tallahassee office, where he focuses his practice on litigation, dispute resolution and healthcare regulatory matters. His experience includes litigation in federal constitutional challenges, antitrust, contract disputes, false claims act, employment discrimination, complex commercial arbitration, and as well as providing advice regarding Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance. Additionally, Mr. O'Bryant closely monitors appellate litigation in Florida and provides weekly updates on cases of significance happening in Florida.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. O'Bryant served as a law clerk for the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary staff under Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah), and as a legislative intern for Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
During law school, Mr. O'Bryant worked as a research assistant for Professor Lawrence Lessig. He also served as an editor for the Journal of Law & Public Policy and the Journal of Sports & Entertainment Law.
Mr. O'Bryant is dedicated to pro bono service, and is a member of the Legal Aid Foundation's Thunderdome Tallahassee Program, providing pro bono family law services to those in need.
In the community, Mr. O'Bryant serves on Leon County's Advisory Committee for Quality Growth and on the advisory council for Access Tallahassee, which is the young professionals arm of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Mr. O'Bryant serves as a community catalyst as part of the Knight Creative Communities Institute, a placemaking group in Tallahassee.
