Laura Penney

Laura Penney is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Nashville office where she assists clients across diverse industries with a wide range of employment-related issues to build and retain competitive workforces. She is experienced in managing the hiring and sponsorship of foreign national employees; travel and visa renewal issues; and requests for evidence, audits, and inquiries from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of Labor, and the Department of Justice.

Ms. Penney is knowledgeable in a wide range of specific immigration and employment matters, including:

• L-1 visas for intracompany transferees
• EB-1 petitions for multinational managers, outstanding researchers, and individuals of extraordinary ability
• H-1B visas for specialty occupation professionals
• O-1 visas for individuals of extraordinary ability
• reviewing I-9 documents for identity verification and employment authorization
• PERM labor certification applications
