Zalika Pierre is a litigator and privacy attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office. Ms. Pierre focuses her litigation practice on defending financial institutions and corporations in all phases of consumer-based litigation in New York and New Jersey, state and federal courts.
Ms. Pierre is well-versed in litigating and arguing complex financial services matters concerning lender liability, consumer fraud, and violations of federal and state consumer protection statutes and regulations. She advises clients regarding the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA) and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Pierre focused her practice on defending some of the most prominent insurers and administrators of life, health, disability and annuity policies, in all forms of group and individual policy litigation. She has experience defending insurers in disputes over policy coverage, lapsed policies and death benefit payments. Ms. Pierre also managed a nationwide portfolio of interpleader actions and litigation involving multistate slayer rules.
