Lennard K. Rambusch is a retired senior partner in Holland & Knight's New York office where he practiced admiralty and commercial law. He assisted foreign companies with their corporate and litigation requirements in the United States. Mr. Rambusch was a member of the firm's Litigation Section and the Maritime Group's Rapid Response Team and leader of the firm's training program for foreign lawyers. He served as legal advisor to the Commercial Section of the Consulate General of Denmark in New York. His admiralty practice involved maritime creditors' rights. He advised financial institutions and served as lead counsel in numerous multinational shipping workouts. He conducted maritime lien and mortgage enforcement proceedings in most port cities in the U.S. and coordinated litigation around the U.S. and Canada and in more than 40 overseas jurisdictions. He wrote and lectured on commercial and maritime law at the United Nations, Maritime Cyprus, Lloyd's, Marine Money, and at meetings of the American and International Bar Associations. Mr. Rambusch was also a mediator. He served on the mediation panel of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Mr. Rambusch served on active duty with the United States Coast Guard as a line officer, legal specialist and military judge and was a captain in the United States Coast Guard Reserve (Ret.). He is a Knight of Denmark's Royal Order of Dannebrog.
