Laura Roman is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Los Angeles office. She is a member of the firm's Private Wealth Services Group. Ms. Roman focuses her practice on trusts, estates and charitable donations. She works with charitable organizations and estate executors to ensure donations are properly received by bequest beneficiaries.
Ms. Roman is a member of a national team of attorneys, fiduciary accountants and paralegals who advocate on behalf of nonprofit organizations as beneficiaries of matured bequests, with the goal of following donor intent to accelerate and increase bequest revenue to those organizations.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Roman worked for a law firm where she assisted a variety of clients in business, litigation and estate planning matters.
During law school, Ms. Roman served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. She also worked as a law clerk at a firm handling family law and estate planning, and completed a summer internship. She was a lead articles editor of the Southwestern Law Review and had one article published.
