Nicole Sappingfield is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Chicago office and a member of the firm's Corporate Services Team. Ms. Sappingfield's practice focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for publicly and privately held companies in a variety of industries.
Ms. Sappingfield routinely advises clients on legal issues relating to the disposition and acquisition of equity or assets, as well as negotiates and drafts transaction documents to ensure that the business deal is clearly effectuated. Ms. Sappingfield has particular experience in advising private equity companies in the M&A space, including the acquisition, formation and expansion of portfolio companies. She also advises clients with family-owned businesses and closely held companies.
In addition, Ms. Sappingfield has substantial experience in advising on general corporate governance matters and negotiating day-to-day contracts with vendors, suppliers and customers, as well as reviewing and counseling clients in relation to other legal-related business issues.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Sappingfield practiced at a large firm in Detroit, Michigan.
Not yet admitted to the Illinois Bar; admitted to Michigan only, and practicing under supervision of lawyers licensed to practice in Illinois.
