Nicholas A.F. Sarokhanian is a Dallas trial attorney with jury trial success and a strong track record before courts and arbitration panels in complex business, healthcare, product liability, trade secret and intellectual property, and franchise litigation. He has extensive trial and arbitration experience, having litigated more than a dozen trials or arbitrations to verdict, judgment or final award – often as first or second chair – before juries, judges and arbitrators.

Mr. Sarokhanian enjoys the challenge of solving tough problems. Clients turn to him for his strategic, big-picture thinking and creative solutions to their complicated, difficult or protracted disputes, whether they be resolutions outside of litigation or those after the conclusion of litigation. He partners with clients to create and maintain a frank, frequent and responsive dialogue on the status of their disputes and ways to efficiently resolve them in their favor. Mr. Sarokhanian represents clients in a variety of industries, with a particular focus in the healthcare and life sciences, financial services and technology sectors. He counsels and represents pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, hospital chains, home health agencies and physicians; banks, lenders, real estate investors, developers and servicers; as well as software companies, inventors, and drone manufacturers.

In the community, Mr. Sarokhanian serves on boards of local organizations and has been recognized by the State Bar of Texas for his commitment to pro bono causes.

While in law school, Mr. Sarokhanian served as associate editor of the Baylor Law Review. He also won several moot court and mock court competitions.


  • Part of national counsel team representing a specialty pharmaceutical manufacturer named in lawsuits across the country and in lawsuits consolidated in the federal In re National Prescription Opiate Litigation, MDL No. 2804, in the Northern District of Ohio
  • Secured a favorable jury verdict for a national hospital chain in a lawsuit over the purchase of a unique alcohol and drug treatment hospital, as well as allegations of breach of contract, fraud and illegal wiretapping
  • Represented a behavioral management company in an arbitration over the termination of a multiyear services agreement
  • Represented major pharmaceutical companies in product liability class actions and multidistrict litigations (MDLs)
  • Represented major optical products manufacturer in Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TPCA) class action
  • Represented home healthcare agencies in franchise litigation and arbitration relating to Medicare certification and other breaches of contract
  • Represented physicians and  medical device company in patent litigation
  • Defended board-certified pediatric anesthesiologist against allegations of running a "pill mill" brought by the U.S. Attorney's Office
  • Secured a favorable out-of-court settlement for a former officer of a Dallas-based intraoperative neuromonitoring company
  • Investigated a former employee's unauthorized access of computer systems for a hospital and coordinated with law enforcement for prosecution under the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act

  • Representing large national bank in the enforcement of guaranties of $26 million commercial real estate loan
  • Representing large national bank in litigation involving allegations of fraudulent transfers following Article 9 sale to third party
  • Secured a judgment in bankruptcy court for an investment venture client in a weeklong trial brought to revoke a discharge obtained by a complex fraud and various alter egos, reviving the client's multimillion-dollar judgment
  • Secured a favorable judgment in a trial for a loan servicer plaintiff in a breach of contract lawsuit involving indemnification obligations
  • Secured summary judgment and full recovery of assigned accounts pledged to lender against a Mississippi seller of sporting goods in federal court
  • Represented a Dallas-based bank in lawsuit over breaches of loan participation agreements
  • Defended a major international bank and its subsidiaries in contested foreclosure and lender liability lawsuits in Texas
  • Represented a large European bank in the enforcement of a multimillion-dollar commercial real estate loan secured by land near San Antonio, Texas, and guaranty against a Texas developer
  • Defended a large American bank in a lawsuit involving allegations of defamation and Fair Credit Reporting Act violations

  • Secured temporary injunction for a technology company in bet-the-company litigation that resulted in a favorable out-of-court settlement
  • Secured settlement of multiforum trade secrets and antitrust litigation on behalf of major building products distributor
  • Secured injunction and favorable settlement on behalf of major insurance broker against team of defecting employees in Dallas, Los Angeles and Chicago who competed unfairly
  • Representing manufacturer of all-terrain vehicle manufacturer in personal injury lawsuit in federal court
  • Represented major pharmaceutical device manufacturers in personal injury lawsuits in Texas and nationwide
  • Secured early dismissal under Texas' anti-SLAPP statute of widely reported defamation suit against Dallas-based syndicated talk radio and media company host and owner
  • Helped secure favorable jury verdict for a national retail electric provider in a federal jury trial and separate state court jury trial
  • Represented an independent Texas exploration and production (E&P) company in a lawsuit against a contractor over excessive delays in completing a pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico
  • Represented Texas independent nonoperating joint ventures in a lawsuit for the removal of a negligent operator of oil and gas wells in the Texas Panhandle
  • Defended a global oil and gas company in a lawsuit over unpaid joint interest billings and other Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies (COPAS) accounting issues
  • Represented an independent Texas E&P company in dispute against joint venturers over Authority for Expenditures (AFE) overruns
