Andrew Smith is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office and a member of the firm's Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group.

Mr. Smith has significant experience working on early and growth-stage corporate transactions, as well as major policy and regulatory initiatives, combining cross-sector legal, commercial and political acumen. This experience includes international matters, trade and infrastructure proposals, financial services issues, digital asset and payment topics, as well as environmental and energy projects.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Smith was appointed to leadership roles at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, U.S. Department of Justice and the International Trade Administration, where he worked on a variety of projects focused on domestic and international finance and digital asset issues, as well as key interagency priorities.

Prior to entering public service, Mr. Smith worked as a commodities analyst and broker with an international investment bank and interdealer brokerage firm. During law school, Mr. Smith served a clerk externship with the Hon. Karon Bowdre of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
