Overview
Katelin Stephens is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's West Palm Beach office. Ms. Stephens focuses her practice on complex federal litigation that involves fact-intensive, healthcare and business-related disputes, as well as the investigation and litigation of sophisticated fraud schemes.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Stephens represented insurance clients in commercial litigation throughout Florida. Her practice had an emphasis on first-party property insurance coverage disputes, dealing largely with assignment of benefit claims and late-notice Hurricane Irma claims.
During her time in law school, Ms. Stephens served as an intern and a fellow in the Professional Responsibility and Ethics Program, where she was responsible for creating customized Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presentations on cutting-edge legal ethics issues. Ms. Stephens also interned for the Honorable Laurel M. Isicoff in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Demonstrating her commitment to her law school community, Ms. Stephens served as the fundraising chair and subsequently the president of the Robert H. Waters Chapter of the National Black Law Students Association (BLSA), as well as a senator in the Student Bar Association. She was tapped into the Society of Bar and Gavel, the law school's most esteemed honor society, which recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding service and dedication to goodwill.
