Max Sternberg is a Chicago real estate attorney who focuses on commercial transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, as well as development, leasing and financing matters. Mr. Sternberg represents real estate and hospitality users, operators, developers, private equity funds, pension funds and other institutional investors in transactions involving office, multifamily, industrial, retail and hospitality properties nationwide. He also has significant experience representing foreign consular missions on their U.S. real estate transactions and sports franchises in their negotiations with public and private partners in the development and redevelopment of stadium facilities.

Mr. Sternberg also practices in the area of collegiate athletics, assisting in the representation of educational institutions, athletic associations and sports industry personnel on a variety of matters. During law school, he organized Northwestern University School of Law's first Sports Law Symposium.
As an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Mr. Sternberg served as a beat writer for The Daily Cardinal, where he was responsible for covering men's basketball and football. He also gained experience working in the real estate industry, completing internships with a low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) development firm, a New York City multifamily owner and operator, and a full-service national real estate firm specializing in the development, acquisition, leasing and management of retail properties.
