Roberto R. Pupo

Roberto R. Pupo is an attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office and co-chair of the South Florida Corporate, M&A and Securities Practice Group, as well as chair of the Latin America Practice Group. He has substantial experience in complex domestic and international mergers and acquisition matters, corporate financings, joint ventures and cross-border transactions. Mr. Pupo represents large U.S., Canadian, European and Latin American corporations, private equity and venture capital funds, corporate groups and family offices in a wide range of corporate transactions, cross-border acquisitions, joint ventures and affiliations. He is also a frequent speaker on a wide range of legal industry matters.

• Represented seller in connection with sale of Medicare Advantage and Medicaid medical centers in sale of business to strategic buyer for purchase price of US$300 million
• Represented seller in connection with sale of Medicare Advantage and Medicaid medical centers in sale of business to private equity firm for purchase price in excess of US$75 million
• Represented healthcare private equity fund in connection with acquisition of Medicare Advantage and Medicaid medical center platform company and in numerous add-on acquisitions relating to same
• Represented healthcare private equity fund in connection with acquisition of hospice services provider platform company and in numerous add-on acquisitions relating to same
• Represented Canadian retailer in connection with the acquisition of a controlling interest in Latin America-based discount retailer with approximately 200 retail locations and operations in Central and South America with an approximate valuation of US$90 million
• Represented U.S.-based multinational telecommunications company in connection with acquisition of fiber optics operator in Mexico for a purchase price of several hundred million U.S. dollars
• Represented seller of Medicare Advantage medical centers in sale of business in excess of US$400 million
