President Donald Trump recently selected Alex Azar for Secretary of Health and Human Services. Former colleagues describe him as whip-smart and industry-friendly with a background in Republican politics and past experience investigating former President Bill Clinton.

"Alex Azar is a guy who was a thoughtful and thorough general counsel in HHS for the Bush administration. ... He was not someone who had his own ideological agenda," Partner Michael Werner said. "He's not someone who has a reputation for being a bomb-thrower or going in and trying to overturn the way the agencies have functioned."
