Duvol Thompson Named Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow

Holland & Knight

NEW YORK (January 7, 2019) – Holland & Knight Partner Duvol Thompson has been selected to represent the firm as a member of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 2019 class of Fellows, participating in a landmark program created to identify, train and advance the next generation of leaders in the legal profession.

Launched in 2011, the LCLD Fellows program works by identifying high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds and setting them on the path to leadership of their organizations. During his or her Fellow year, each honoree embarks on a learning program that includes in-person conferences, training in the fine points of legal practice, and peer group projects to foster collaboration and build relationships. The goal is to produce a generation of attorneys with strong leadership and relationship skills who are committed to fostering diversity within their individual institutions and the profession at large.

Founded in 2009, LCLD has grown to an organization of more than 275 members, who serve as either general counsel of major corporations or managing partners of the nation's leading law firms.

Mr. Thompson focuses his practice on defending companies in complex litigation claims, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, and tortious interference with contractual relations. Mr. Thompson also is experienced in insurance and reinsurance litigation, as well as coverage disputes. He is a member of the New York City Bar Association's Judiciary Committee, for which he evaluates judicial candidates for election, re-election, appointment and reappointment to judicial office.
