Holland & Knight Advises Banco Multiva in Two Loans to State of Coahuila Totaling $800 Million

MEXICO CITY (December 17, 2018) – Holland & Knight advised Banco Multiva on its participation in two loans for a combined amount of $800 million (MX$16 billion) to the Mexican state of Coahuila, as part of a $1.8 billion (MX$36 billion) financial reorganization. The loans closed on November 13.

The refinancing, which resulted in a reduced interest rate and other improved terms, will help the government of Coahuila meet the health and safety needs of its residents, improve its education infrastructure and create jobs.

Banco Multiva was selected as lender to the state of Coahuila through a competitive bidding process.
