Phil Rothschild Elected President of Broward Chapter of Federal Bar Association

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Sept. 13, 2018) – Holland & Knight attorney Phil Rothschild was sworn in as president of the Broward County Chapter of the Federal Bar Association (FBA) on Sept. 12 at an installation luncheon at the Tower Club. He will serve for a one-year term.

With more than 18,000 members, including 1,500 federal judges, the FBA promotes the sound administration of justice, the integrity, quality and independence of the judiciary, and opportunities for interactions between the federal bar and the bench. The Broward County Chapter has nearly 200 members, and has received programming and chapter awards from the FBA for several years in a row.

Mr. Rothschild has been actively involved with the FBA since 2012. He served as an officer and board member of the Broward County Chapter for four years before being elected president.

Mr. Rothschild practices in the area of complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on federal court issues. Prior to joining Holland & Knight in 2012, Mr. Rothschild served as a chambers law clerk for more than a decade in the offices of three active U.S. District Court judges in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He also has experience as a civil enforcement attorney for the Federal Trade Commission’s Consumer Protection Bureau in Washington, D.C.
