The Protecting our Infrastructure of Pipelines and Enhancing Safety Act of 2016 (PIPES Act of 2016) was signed into law by President Barack Obama on June 22, 2016, following the recent unanimous passage of the bill by the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

The PIPES Act of 2016 reauthorizes the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) from fiscal year 2016 to fiscal year 2019.
