Holland & Knight Sponsoring North America School of Aviation Finance 2018
Holland & Knight's Aircraft Finance Team is sponsoring and participating in Euromoney's North America School of Aviation Finance April 11-13, 2018, in New York City. The School's other sponsors include Citi and One Jet Inc., with additional speakers from the Export-Import Bank of the United States, Goldman Sachs & Co., Plane View Partners, Moody's Investors Service, Clinch River Capital Partners, Aircastle, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, AirTrav Inc. and Boeing Capital Corporation. John F. Pritchard, global chair of Holland & Knight's Aircraft Finance practice, is co-director of the school and will be speaking on two panels in the "Sources of Funding" module taking place on day one of the School, April 11. Mr. Pritchard will present a "Market Overview" as well as direct the "Case Study: Teams and Explanations" session, where he'll be joined by New York-based Finance Partner Richard Furey. Fred Bass, New York-based Aircraft Finance Partner, will also participate on the first day of programming, speaking as part of the "Case Study of Commercial Aviation-related Secured Debt Transactions in the Capital Markets" panel.
Operating Leasing is the focus of day two on April 12, with a number of Holland & Knight Aircraft Finance partners presenting on their various areas of knowledge and experience. San Francisco-based Audrey Sung and Mr. Furey will jointly present three panels: "Operating Leases: Explanation and Update;" "Operating Leases: Practical Application;" and "Lessor-Lessee's Views on the Process of Aircraft Deliveries and Returns." Mr. Pritchard will lead a session on the "Effects of the Cape Town Convention on Daily Aircraft and Engine Finance," and will co-present on a panel with New York-based Taxation Partner Richard Crowley on "Transaction Structures, Documentation."
Asset Management and Restructuring is the focus of day three on April 13. San Francisco-based Aircraft Finance Partner William Piels and New York-based Bankruptcy Partner Arthur Rosenberg will jointly present on the "What Happens When It All Goes Wrong? (US Market)" panel. Aviation litigator Marc Antonecchia of our New York office will participate in the "Restructuring/Repossession Case Studies – Mexicana & Air Berlin" session.
