EPA Aims To Fill Out Bare-Bones Permanent Staff

The new head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is starting to hire top-level personnel, including the addition of Ryan Jackson as the agency's chief of staff. Mr. Jackson is a former staffer for Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.). Attorney Dimitrios Karakitsos, a former senior counsel to Sen. Inhofe, weighed in on the matter.

Mr. Karakitsos said Mr. Jackson "has a good reputation and has worked extensively with members of both sides of the aisle."

"I think the people on the Hill can figure out a way to get to the [EPA] political and the program folks when they need to," he said.
