Expanded Drone Registry To Spark More Enforcement Action

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced in April that it would restrict drone operations over military bases. This means that rogue drone operators could face the wrath of not just the FAA, but the DOD as well.

“Although the drone registration requirement will rile some hobbyists, the authority of DOD to identify, track and destroy drones flying over a DOD ‘covered facility or asset’ will have a broader impact on the way drones are integrated into the national airspace in the United States,” said Partner Joel Roberson.
