Holland & Knight Boosts Israel Practice with Addition of Meital Stavinsky

Ms. Stavinsky is a prominent dealmaker and player in the Israeli-American business community

MIAMI (March 21, 2017) – Government relations attorney Meital Stavinsky has joined Holland & Knight’s Miami and Washington, D.C. offices as a partner and co-chair of the firm’s Israel Practice. She will also be a member of the firm’s Public Policy & Regulation Practice Group. Ms. Stavinsky was formerly a shareholder and founding member of Greenberg Traurig’s Israel Practice.

Ms. Stavinsky was born in Israel and speaks Hebrew fluently. For the past 15 years, she has advised innovative Israeli businesses that seek to enter the U.S. market or expand their operations in the U.S. She has significant experience providing government relations and business law advice to advanced technology companies that provide a beneficial social and environmental impact in the areas of Agtech, Cleantech and transportation.

Ms. Stavinsky is a member of multiple organizations that focus on social, environmental issues and U.S.-Israel policy. Among others, she serves as the co-chair of the Tel-Aviv University Alumni southeast chapter, as well as an AJC board member and AIPAC Washington Club member. She is an external advisory board member to National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s and Wells Fargo’s Innovation Incubator (IN2), a program designed to foster innovative environmental technologies; a board member of Dream in Green; and a member of the Women's Council on Energy and the Environment.

Ms. Stavinsky earned LL.B. and LL.M. degrees from Tel Aviv University in Israel. She is admitted to practice law in Israel, New York and Washington, D.C., and is a Certified Legal Consultant with the Florida Bar. Ms. Stavinsky is also certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

Holland & Knight's Israel Team regularly advises Israeli clients operating in the United States, as well as companies and investors doing business in Israel, on a wide range of legal issues. Earlier this month, the team also welcomed international tax partner Erez Tucner in New York.
