Holland & Knight’s Seth Belzley Named One of Denver’s Energy Industry Leaders

DENVER (November 28, 2016) – Holland & Knight partner Seth Belzley has been named one of the Denver Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in Energy” for 2016. He is among a select group of individuals in the Denver metropolitan area recognized for their commitment to professional excellence and their contributions to the energy industry in Colorado.

The 2016 class of "Who’s Who in Energy" includes executives, accountants, regulators, real estate experts, analysts, scientists, lawyers and consultants who work in wind, solar, coal, oil and gas, utilities and energy efficiency, as well as those who advocate for the environment. According to the publication, their "position, knowledge and expertise help guide Colorado’s multibillion-dollar energy sector."

Mr. Belzley is a business and public policy attorney with deep roots in the energy industry, including serving as senior vice president and assistant general counsel at TransMontaigne Inc., a Fortune 500 oil pipeline and terminal company based in Denver, prior to entering private practice. He was primarily responsible for commercial transactions, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions in support of the company’s businesses in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

At Holland & Knight, Mr. Belzley represents energy infrastructure developers and operators, physical commodities traders, and buyers and sellers of hydrocarbons on a wide variety of commercial and corporate transactions. He advises clients on terminaling, processing and transportation arrangements involving crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids and refined petroleum products, marketing activities including compliance with antitrust and competition regulations and trading activities including forward physical contracts, exchange agreements and credit-related matters, as well as matters facing master limited partnerships. He is familiar with the regulatory and public policy issues facing the energy industry across the country and regularly counsels companies and nonprofits on dealing reactively and proactively to them.
