While drafting wills, setting up trusts for wayward children, crafting prenuptial agreements and structuring complex vehicles to reduce taxes, work for trusts and estates attorneys has been increasing thanks to top trusts and estates lawyers working with client lists packed with entertainment stars, business moguls, Internet entrepreneurs and reclusive billionaires.

Some firms have expanded their traditional trusts and estates practices into private wealth services practices. David Scott Sloan, the co-chair of Holland & Knight's private wealth services practice, has recast his services to act as a general counsel to high-net-worth individuals, who typically have more than $75 million in assets.
