Trump's Effect On Marine Insurance In Doubt

The Trump Administration's support of protectionist policies could mean more U.S.-flagged vessels, and that could translate into more opportunities for U.S.-based marine insurers. Attorney Julia Palmer weighed in on the matter.
"If you're requiring use of U.S. vessels, you could also expand that to require use of U.S. insurers," said Ms. Palmer. "There's a potential for that. Lots of things would have to change in order for that to happen, but there's certainly a potential for that."
