Financial Services Attorney Joe Dewey, a thought leader on blockchain and distributed ledger technology (DLT), will be speaking at the 2019 CLOC Vegas Institute on "Re-Designing Legal Processes in the Age of Machine Learning (Foundational)" on May 14 at 4:20 - 5:10 p.m. PT. Mr. Dewey will discuss how law firms and legal operations departments are deploying real-world machine learning (ML) solutions to more effectively perform legal processes. Mr. Dewey and a panel of in-house lawyers will provide approaches to integrating ML solutions into day-to-day legal processes. The panel will also provide a brief overview of how machine learning works and how to identify special legal processes that are appropriate for ML solutions.

After Mr. Dewey's panel make sure to head over to booth 18 for a demonstration on our new BlockBlade tool, which allows our clients to search the labyrinthine data in the blockchain and rapidly determine a perpetrator's account and identity, thereby saving precious time needed to freeze and recover stolen assets. The tool, developed entirely in-house with the help of renowned consultant, Joshua Strickon, Ph.D., has already enabled the firm to locate and freeze another client's misappropriated virtual currencies residing in a Hong Kong-based account.
