Holland & Knight Adds Litigator David Schulte in Dallas

DALLAS (February 28, 2018) – David Schulte has joined Holland & Knight as a litigation partner in the firm's Dallas office. Mr. Schulte focuses on complex commercial litigation, handling high-stakes matters for large and middle market clients. Previously, he was a partner at Thompson & Knight in Dallas.

Mr. Schulte represents clients before federal and state trial courts and in domestic and international arbitrations. His trial experience in complex and general commercial litigation matters is broad. In addition to commercial litigation, he has been hired by clients to defend their intellectual property rights, and to assert and defend patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation claims. Mr. Schulte has deep experience with comprehensive product liability matters; and he has represented companies in wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury litigation. His experience also includes representation of clients in governmental and environmental matters. Mr. Schulte has represented and advised clients across a wide range of industries, including product design and manufacturing, aeronautics, financial services, transportation, technology, telecommunications, and pharmaceuticals.

Mr. Schulte is a member of the SMU Dedman School of Law's new Emerging Leader Board and also serves as a Fellows Officer of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers Foundation. He is a barrister in the William "Mac" Taylor American Inn of Court and has been a faculty instructor for the prestigious National Institute for Trial Advocacy trial skills and deposition programs since 2013. Among his many recognitions, Mr. Schulte was named a "Texas Super Lawyer" in 2017, a "Lawyer on the Rise" by Texas Lawyer in 2016, and a "Top Attorney" in civil litigation by Fort Worth magazine in 2017.

Mr. Schulte received a J.D. degree from SMU Dedman School of Law, and M.A. and B.A. degrees from the University of Notre Dame. Following law school, Mr. Schulte clerked for Judge John H. McBryde of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
