Holland & Knight Welcomes Litigation Partner David Cannella to Orlando Office

ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 24, 2017) – Business litigation attorney David Cannella has joined Holland & Knight as a partner in the firm’s Orlando office. He was previously a shareholder with Carlton Fields.

“David is a well-respected litigator with significant trial experience and a strong record of professional service,” said Suzanne Gilbert, the leader of Holland & Knight’s Central Florida Litigation Group. “Many of us worked with David when he was an associate at Maguire, Voorhis & Wells P.A., which eventually merged with Holland & Knight. We are excited to welcome him back as our partner.”

Mr. Cannella’s practice is dedicated to complex business litigation. He has extensive experience in matters that include trade secret litigation, defamation, franchise/distributor litigation, unfair competition, government contracts, deceptive and unfair trade practices, breach of fiduciary duty claims, class action defense, pharmaceutical and medical device product liability defense, complex commercial foreclosure and banking litigation.

Mr. Cannella is Board Certified in Business Litigation by The Florida Bar and is recognized as a leading attorney in his practice by The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers and Florida Trend’s Legal Elite.

Mr. Cannella is active in The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association, and is the immediate past president of the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association. He is also a volunteer guardian ad litem for children who need legal representation and a member of the Orange County Teen Court Advisory Board.

He received his J.D. degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and his B.A. degree from Georgetown University.
