Holland & Knight’s Letitia Moore Receives EPA Distinguished Career Service Award

SAN FRANCISCO (July 5, 2018) – Holland & Knight attorney Letitia Moore, who recently joined the firm from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), today received the agency's Distinguished Career Service Award. The award recognizes Ms. Moore's exceptional service throughout her employment in EPA and federal service and the significant impact of her cumulative accomplishments on EPA's mission.

Ms. Moore is a senior counsel in Holland & Knight's San Francisco office and a member of the firm's West Coast Land Use and Environment Group. She began her career with the EPA in 1989, making the transition from EPA law clerk to EPA staff attorney in EPA's Region 9 (Pacific Southwest Region) Office of Regional Counsel. Most recently, Ms. Moore served as a section chief for the EPA Region 9 Office of Regional Counsel's Hazardous Waste Branch.

During Ms. Moore's tenure at the EPA, she handled the full range of issues covering enforcement under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Clean Water Act and the Clean Air Act, including novel and precedent-setting matters. Ms. Moore represented the EPA in matters involving city, state and tribal governments, as well as other federal agencies, private businesses and individuals.
