While the potential useful applications of distributed ledger technology are boundless, most share a common characteristic – the collaboration of independent economic actors. This collaboration, although essential to unlocking the potential of blockchain technology in the context of permissioned ledgers (as opposed to public ledgers like Bitcoin and Ethereum), can also raise potential issues under antitrust laws.
